Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival and Lunar New Year, is an important celebration in China and many parts of Asia. The festival also involves Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, and Laos.

This year, Chinese New Year started on 25th January 2020. As each year has a zodiac animal, 2020 is the year of the Rat.
To celebrate the year of the Rat, many brands have introduced special collections, here are a list of 10:
Moschino
Moschino (in the cover) took inspiration from Mickey Rat for its Chinese New Year collection.
Creative director Jeremy Scott created a collection of women’s and men’s graphic T-shirts, varsity jackets, sneakers, backpacks and phone cases, that feature the character.
Panerai
Panerai celebrates the Year of the Rat with a special edition of 88 units decorated using the ancient technique of sparsello. Chinese astrological tradition depicted and enhanced by Italian craftsmanship.
Panerai recalls the evocative thousand-year tradition of the Chinese Zodiac with the new Luminor Sealand – 44 mm (PAM00863), a special edition created to anticipate and accompany the Year of the Rat which will officially started on the 25th of January 2020.

Nike
Nike incorporated designs from its last four collections for the Year of the Rat into footwear and apparel from Nike and Jordan Brand.
The pattern designed is reminiscent of Yuxian paper-cutting, a traditional Chinese craft that involves cutting and turning colorered rice paper into images of animals, flowers, and landscapes.
The collection includes a number of the brand’s sneaker types, including the Air Force 1, Air Max 1, Air Max 720 and Air Max 90.

Gucci
The most iconic character when you think of a rat is the Disney character, Mickey Mouse. Gucci collaborates with Mickey Mouse to celebrate the year of the Rat, creating a capsule collection inspired by the Disney character.
The collection includes women’s and men’s clothing, shoes, handbags and other accessories that combine images of Mickey with Gucci’s heritage logo.

Dior
Instead of focusing its CNY collection on Rat, Dior launches a series of Chinese New Year limited-edition collection that centers around the theme of phoenix. The collection integrates poetic design and advanced customization to express the beauty and elegance of the phoenix.

Pandora
Pandora combines traditional loved theme jewellery with fun animal icons for a collection to celebrate Chinese New Year 2020.

Burberry
Inspired by the Chinese zodiac animal, Burberry’s Chinese New Year collection is designed with a limited-edition Thomas Burberry Monogram animated with an original illustration in honor of the Year of the Rat.

Kate Spade
Kate Spade x Tom and Jerry collection is youthful and playful. The collection uses the iconic spade pattern designed with the Tom and Jerry characters.

Etude House
The cosmetic brand Etude House joins the celebration of the new year by launching a collection featuring Tom and Jerry. The collection does not only include basic cosmetics products, there are also handbags, scarves, t-shirts, and many more.

Chloé
Chloé collaborates with British illustrator, Julie Verhoeven, for a limited edition collection for the celebration of the Year of the Rat. The new images designed by Verhoeven is printed on white colored Aby Lock bags.
