PricePanda, a price comparison website in Southeast Asia, recently launched iOS app in Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and Singapore. The launch followed the unveiling of the Android app a few weeks ago.
With their new app, PricePanda’s broad selection of prices and products in various categories such as computers, health and beauty or home appliances is just a few clicks away.
Louis Iskandar, co-founder at PricePanda, said with an increase of 61 percent in smartphone sales in the last few years in Southeast Asia, the m-commerce wave is quickly catching on and will play a key role in shaping the future of retail in Asia.
The Nielsen’s report, "Decoding the Asian Mobile Consumer," showed that markets such as Singapore (87 percent) or Malaysia (80 percent) already have higher smartphone penetration rates than for instance the US smartphone market (60 percent). In South East Asia alone, smartphone owners spent an average of more than three hours per day on their smartphones.
The free PricePanda App allows users to compare prices for thousands of products to find the best deal on the go, to visit the shop’s website or call them directly from within the app, search for offers by entering the product name, discover top products and browse through dozens categories and find new products, and order on the go.
