Korean regulator approves iPhone 4

South Korea’s telecommunications regulator said on Tuesday it has given Apple Inc. approval to start the sale of its latest smartphone, the iPhone 4, in the country, but consumers there will still have to wait a couple more months for it.

KT Corp., the country’s biggest telecom operator, which has an exclusive contract to offer iPhones in South Korea, said it may take as many as two months before the company can offer the device to its customers.
