Tod’s Opens at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore

The new 165-square-metre store is charged with a refreshed aesthetic — it’s part of Tod’s new look. Singapore is the first in Asia to sport it, and is the second in the world after London. The new boutique, located at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, looks and feels spacious with its minimal design and luxurious furnishings.

The Italian house offers a wide range of leather goods (the brand is famous for its driver shoes and its Wave and Double T bags). Marvel in craftsmanship of both Tod’s beloved products and fresh interiors — its vitrines incorporate saddle-stitched leather panels and steel.

Its opening event was attended by famed Hong Kong actor Louis Koo, who starred in the recent Chinese-Hong Kong action films Z Storm II and Call of Heroes. Dressed in a full Tod’s Spring/Summer 2017 number, the celebrity paired a typically formal outfit with a textured leather field jacket. It’s brushed with pash, a pigment that creates a velvety effect to whatever material it’s sprayed on.

Local celebrities Jeanette Aw, Felicia Chin and Zhang Zhen Huan were distinguished guests. Others, such as style influencers Melissa Koh, Nicole Wong, Nellie Lim, Tracy Phillips, Charmaine Seah, and notable society guests Stephanie Lee, Tan Min Li, Jackie Chee and Paulina Bohm also attended.

In conjunction to its store opening, Tod’s launches a range of limited edition items.  For women, there’s the Double T bag and Gommino shoes — both in maroon red. These items are exclusive to the Marina Bay Sands Singapore boutique, with its name inscribed and embossed on the products.
