US’s Forever 21 sets target of 100 stores in Japan

American fast-fashion retailer Forever 21 has its sights set on the Japanese market.

The company opened its first 2 stores in the country in the last week of May, and founder Don Chang has set a target of 100 Japan openings.

Forever 21 currently has 480 stores, mostly in the US. Sales last year more than doubled to USD2.3 billion from USD947 million in 2005. The company expects USD3.2b in sales this year.
