Retailers who are tired of using conventional materials for store design must not miss the Innovative Design Material Gallery at Retail Asia Expo 2012.
Retail Asia Expo 2012, which is in its fourth edition, kick-started on 12 June and will close on 14 June at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Joined forces with Materia from the Netherlands, the gallery, which is a special feature according to the show organiser Diversified Events HK Ltd, showcases inspirational and sustainable materials for walls, ceiling, floors, fixtures, furniture, and everything retailers need including the exterior façade of the store.
"It brings over more than a hundred samples of different types of materials, which retailers can touch and feel. How can I use these materials to create different effects in my shop? What retailers are trying to do is to give shoppers an ultimate shopping experience which will make them to want to stay in the shop for longer, which will hopefully make them spend more money," said Stuart Bailey, General Manager at Diversified Events HK Ltd.
Founded in 1998 by Dutch designers and architects, Materia has become the renowned materials network worldwide with special exhibitions all over the world. The company is a knowledge centre and network for developments and innovations in materials, and their applications for architecture and design.
The theme for the gallery is Environmental Sustainability. Materials, such Alcarbon alufoam, BarkTex, Bicicleta rug, etc will be exhibited at the gallery.
