Young Italian label MSGM, founded in 2009, is going full steam ahead with its expansion plan.

After the recent opening of a pop-up corner inside London department store Liberty, designer Massimo Giorgetti, who is also the Creative Director of Emilio Pucci, has landed with his contemporary ready-to-wear label in Macao, China.

The 140 m2 store is located on level 3 inside the ‘Parisian Mall’ shopping centre, on Taipa island. In a press release, the label described how the store’s neon illumination generates a lighting effect which especially enhances colours.

Flexible, modular iron structures are part of the interior decor, which is dominated by black and white marble surfaces, intersected by a large fluorescent yellow band, one of MSGM’s iconic design elements.

This opening brings the number of MSGM worldwide stores to seven.

The first was opened in Milan in September 2013, and was quickly followed by others in Hong Kong, Dubai, Singapore and Tokyo, as well as by the opening of about ten retail corners inside prestigious department stores.
