Longchamp opens Asian flagship store in HK

Longchamp, the French luxury brand, on 29 March unveiled La Maison 8, its Asian flagship store in Hong Kong.

The opening ceremony was held in the presence of iconic Kate Moss and members from the Cassegrain family including President Philippe Cassegrain and his wife Madam Michelle Cassegrain, CEO Jean Cassegrain, Artistic Director Sophie Delafontaine, US Retail Director Olivier Cassegrain as well as Greater China Director Mr. Johnny Shum.

La Maison 8, located at No.8 Queen’s Road Central, is a 400-square-metre space designed by the architect Eric Carlson, whose Carbondale agency developed Longchamp’s new global store design concept, that retains noble materials – wood, lacquer, glass and leather – and references to Longchamp’s 63-year heritage of craftsmanship, but adapts the concept to the spirit of Hong Kong. La Maison 8 also presents artworks by the Chinese contemporary artist Liu Wei, art is in the air inside the flagship store.

Jean Cassegrain, CEO of Longchamp, said in the ceremony, "We are delighted to be opening La Maison 8 in Hong Kong, one of Asia’s most vibrant cities. We hope that our Asian customers, who have always appreciated Longchamp products and craftsmanship, will be as excited by the store as we are."
