L’Occitane International, the French skincare retailer, said net profit dropped 3 percent despite growing sales for the six months to 30 September.
Net profit fell to EUR28.5 million (USD38m) for the six months through September, from EUR29.8m a year earlier. The net profit margin declined 1 percentage point to 8.1 percent.
Net sales for the company increased 11.3 percent to EUR368m during the period, thanks to strong sales growth in Hong Kong, mainland China and South Korea.
