Harvey Norman expansion plans back on agenda

Furniture and electronics retailer Harvey Norman has three new store openings planned for the next few months as it prepares for a return to boom times.

Chairman Gerry Harvey says growth is starting to re-emerge around the globe, especially in Asia.

He singled out Singapore and Malaysia, where the company has 20 stores. The economic growth was, he says, being driven by a resources boom and an increasingly affluent middle class.
