BreadTalk to double Thai presence

The BreadTalk Group is set to spend THB1 billion (USD31.7 million) expanding its presence in Thailand this year.

The move is part of a strategic plan to double business globally by increasing total outlets to 1,000 by 2014, up from 520 worldwide currently.

BreadTalk owns bakeries and restaurants. It was founded in 2000 and is listed on the Singapore Exchange. The company plans to double its presence in the country to 40 branches by 2014 and raise the total to 80 by 2016.
