Tokyu Land unveils plan for Ginza mall with Tokyo’s biggest duty-free floor space

Tokyu Land Corp. will next year open a shopping center with the largest floor space in Tokyo for duty-free shops in the upmarket Ginza district, the firm announced.

The Tokyu Plaza Ginza, which will have 11 stories above ground and two below, is slated to house 125 stores as well as eateries.

The building will have total sales floor space of 22,000 sq. meters and be completed at the Sukiyabashi intersection by March 31, Tokyu Land said Thursday.
