Thailand’s Udon Charoensri plans mall

Udon Charoensri Group, a retail developer in the northeast of Thailand, will build the biggest community mall in Ubon Ratchathani at a cost of THB600 million (USD19.02m).

The development is expected to cash in on market growth and purchasing power in neighbouring Laos with the advent of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015.

The community mall, now under construction on a 30-rai plot of land, is scheduled to open by year-end, according to a source in the industry.
