Since the launch of K11 MUSEA last year, many wondered whether there is a secret floor below the rooftop Bohemian Garden.
The K11 Art & Cultural Centre at K11 MUSEA’s sixth floor – a new multi-purpose cultural space spanning over 105,000 sq. ft. featuring a collection of international artworks from the likes of Mary Weatherford, Erwin Wurm, and Yayoi Kusama is now open.

The new 6F curation reflects the city’s waterfront culture and represents the fluid exchange of ideas in a multicultural, multilingual society like Hong Kong. Mirroring this seamless conversation of the arts into the architectural design of the 6F façade, 300+ glass cylinders invite fluid exploration between the indoors and outdoors while also lending itself beautifully to acoustics, creating a soundscape by the sea to enjoy that reflects the iconic harbourfront location of K11 MUSEA.
These museum quality art pieces of art run through the Gourmet Chamber – which includes the newly opened COBO HOUSE and an outdoor green space that forms the K11 Sculpture Park – while adding to the existing collection of 40+ featured local and global artworks across K11 MUSEA.
Every corner of 6F at K11 MUSEA presents itself with imaginative pieces of art from the world over. Curated museum art pieces by acclaimed artists such as Chris HUEN Sin Kan, Sterling Ruby, Mary Weatherford, Matthias Weischer, Yayoi Kusama and Turner Prize winner Oscar Murillo can be discovered throughout the sixth floor while magnificent sculptures by Katharina Grosse, Tatiana Trouvé and Erwin Wurm,await outside at K11 Sculpture Park. The Gourmet Chamber features artworks seamlessly displayed throughout, while also welcoming numerous restaurants and bars – including COBO HOUSE, COUCOU Reserve, Fine Wine Experience, Sushi Wadatsumi and TeaMiTea – opening in phases.
K11 Art & Cultural Centre: a Multipurpose Cultural Space Adds to 40+ International Artworks across K11 MUSEA
Throughout K11 MUSEA, the collection is aesthetically inspired by the city’s waterfront culture, meticulously collected and curated in context to its geographical location, under the direction of its founder Adrian Cheng. The curation denotes the ephemeral nature of art and design concepts; fluid exchanges of ideas in a multicultural, multilingual society; and the hyper-connected nature of a global city like Hong Kong.
The latest evolution to the K11 MUSEA art collection can be found on 6F. Highlights of this incredible curation include The Moment of Regeneration by Yayoi Kusama, a monumental work that captures the psychological state of human nature in the modern age.
Other key highlights include local artist Chris HUEN Sin Kan’s Trees, which draws inspiration from the charm and beauty of commonplace happenings, and Turner Prize winner Oscar Murillo’s día mundial de las aves migratorias which translates into “World Migratory Bird Day” and consists of elements that are inspired by different cultures and regions.
Immerse in Art and Nature at K11 Sculpture Park
Extending the theme of the city’s waterfront culture, the K11 Sculpture Park stirs the senses with three majestic sculptures by acclaimed artists Katharina Grosse, Tatiana Trouvé and Erwin Wurm. The vision of this outdoor space is to bring a sense of discovery and offer a place to relax and appreciate the arts.
Erwin Wurm’s body of work evokes the absurdity found in mundane actions of everyday life, addressing sculptural issues that relate to the human body. With Half Big Suit (Verschnittskulptur-Serie), a suited figure is manipulated and fixed in an almost comical position with a leg extended in the air and half of his upper body missing.
Known for creating artwork that challenges conventional notions of what a painting can be, Katharina Grosse’s abstract composition can turn into a three-dimensional experience. Grosse employs a spray gun that functions as an extension of her body so that the painting proceeds at the same time as her physical movement.
Refolding by Tatiana Trouvé depicts a sculpture that casts emergency blankets and packing boxes used to transport works in bronze and concrete. This radical transformation folds the objects back into themselves, one unfolds the temporal extent of their means of existence.
Key Architectural Features: 6F Façade Creates Soundscape of the Sea
An immersive and dynamic design that flows through different areas, the tallest glass cylinder measures in at 9 meters tall. The glass of the facade lends itself beautifully to acoustics, creating a soundscape of the sea.

Explore the showcase and one begins to understand the reasons why Beloufa’s work is present in numerous prestigious collections including the Centre Pompidou, Paris Museum of Modern Art; New York, Sammlung Goetz; Munich and more.
Immerse in Art and the Culinary: The Gourmet Chamber
The Gourmet Chamber of K11 Art & Cultural Centre will debut as a culinary hotspot with a diverse range of restaurants and bars – including COBO HOUSE, COUCOU Reserve, Fine Wine Experience, Sushi Watatsumi and TeaMiTea – opening in phases alongside the incredible artwork on display.

Embracing this relaxed cultural-art lifestyle, COBO HOUSE feels like a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Situated on the sixth floor of K11 MUSEA in a gallery style surrounding, COBO HOUSE endeavours to deliver superb artisanal cuisine and offers 50+ seats with the options for grab & go, dine-in and bar service accompanied by the spectacular view of the Victoria Harbour. The interior design concept follows an environmentally friendly philosophy, with a grey tone colour theme delineating an industrial and rustic vibe and redefining the luxury of simplicity for the eyes of the guests.

The bright, modern open space of COBO HOUSE features floor-to-ceiling glass, grey wash walls and contemporary artwork that never fails to capture the imagination.
