DigitalStudio launches Discovery Japan Mall

Launched by DigitalStudio, Discovery Japan Mall is a cross-border e-commerce mall that specialises in Japanese brand products. At the initial opening on 6 October 2016, the catalog included mainly toys, fishing gear, cosmetics, food, watches, and fashion.

Approximately 100 Japanese companies have opened stores with Discovery Japan Mall, and about 15,000 Japanese brand goods can be purchased.

Shipping is available to more than 120 countries and regions and as part of the opening campaign, free international shipping is offered for orders over JPY 20,000 (HK$1,500) until the end of October.

Purchases can be made easily using a smartphone, and because all orders include tracking and shipping insurance, delivery from Japan is safe and reliable.

“Japan is said to be the world’s largest local market. With their advanced technology and superior craftsmanship, there a lot of hidden unique Japanese products that do not reach the overseas market.” said Discovery Japan representative Norio Itabashi.

“Discovery Japan Mall is coming together with craftsmen and the manufacturers of these products to sell Japan’s unique products through its website,” he added.

Discovery Japan Mall will increase the number of stores, with a target of 30,000 products by the end of 2016, and 100,000 in the 2017 fiscal year.
