China’s Ymatou eyes Japan expansion

Chinese cross-border e-commerce website Ymatou plans to invest JPY1 billion (USD9.2 million) to expand its warehouse and logistics capacity in Japan.

Japanese cosmetics, food and home-appliance devices are popular among Chinese consumers, who are expected to spend more than 876 billion yen on such items in 2020, analysts said.

Ymatou said on Tuesday that it plans to triple its warehouse capacity in Tokyo, and improve its logistics networks so as to reduce delivery times.
