BUYMA, a popular personal shopping site in Japan has launched in the US, offering “rare, limited-edition fashion items and accessories at local prices”, according to the company press release.
The site has over 3.2 million members — 80,000 of whom are registered as “personal shoppers” (sellers) living in 128 different countries — who actually pick up ordered items from third-party retailers and ship them to the buyers.
BUYMA has over 7,600 brands spread across a mix of established luxury designer and contemporary everyday brands in international fashion, cosmetics, and home/interior trend items.
Questions about fit, color, styling etc., can be directed to the personal shoppers via a ‘Questions’ button beside the desired item, making the shopping experience much more interactive than your typical e-commerce transaction.
