The premise is that the physical experience of shopping is blurring into digital, where every shop is "smart" and will interact with customers.
GPT Group is one that has trialled the "omni-channel" (online and physical shopping) relationship with its customers at the Rouse Hill Town Centre and is rolling it out across all the retail portfolio.
Being able to assess what customers want and desire through technology isn’t new, but being able to "blend" both is taking off and will be the new "thing" for retailers and landlords in the coming years.
