Hypebeast announced the opening of HYPEBEANS in Landmark, Hong Kong. A communal destination serving quality coffee and Hypebeast’s first step into the realm of culinary culture.

Offering a menu created with quality over quantity in mind, HYPEBEANS strives to create a lifestyle that seeps into daily routines and becomes a part of everyday
HYPEBEANS is a token of friendship between Kevin Ma and world-renowned barista Hiroshi Sawada, who were connected through Hiroshi Fujiwara and became closer through mutual interest in fashion and culinary arts, and commemorated their bond through a space where like-minded individuals can gather and share creative ideas.
“Here at HYPEBEANS, we want to promote a lifestyle surrounded by culture. We encourage creative collaborations here as an extension of the Hypebeast community,” says Kevin Ma, CEO and founder of Hypebeast Ltd.
Sawada draws inspiration from Hong Kong-style cafés and presents nostalgic creations as well as popular signatures into the menu, crafted from a unique blend of coffee beans roasted by Japanese artisans. These special drinks include Spiced Espresso Yuenyeung, inspired by the iconic black tea and coffee drink and finished with star anise; Ovaltine Espresso, a milky drink unique to the local scene; Forest Matcha Latte, a quirky blend of matcha and espresso and a signature at SAWADA COFFEE USA; and Cold Brew, a classic favorite amongst coffee lovers.
For this summer, HYPEBEANS joined hands with Italian chocolatier Venchi to present a special affogato, hand drip with a selection of coffee beans from Harvest Coffee Roasters and Urban Coffee Roaster, and ice drip coffee using the in-house coffee
beans by brand consultant and world-renowned barista Hiroshi Sawada.
Dedicated to sourcing quality ice cream for the most elevated flavors, baristas at HYPEBEANS have selected the hazelnut flavor from Venchi’s gelato collection to pair with the in-house brew. Made with Piedmont hazelnuts and other premium ingredients, the Italian gelato most accentuates the smoky aroma of Sawada’s coffee beans.
For a more immersive coffee experience, HYPEBEANS will also be offering hand drip coffee with a baristas’ selection of coffee beans from two local roasters. The “Sakura Lot”, “Strawberry Lot” and “Lychee Lot” from Harvest Coffee Roasters offer refreshing tasting notes perfect for the hot season.

Urban Coffee Roaster’s “Ethiopia Sidamo Bensa”, “Bolivia Caranavi Finca El Arcangel Caturra”, and “Panama Hacienda La Esmeralda Geisha 1500” present unique floral and fruity notes for coffee enthusiasts to enjoy.
