Galeries Lafayette opens third store in China at D. Place, Guiyang

On October 22nd, HLC Commercial Estates Group, a commercial real estate operations and management company, and Galeries Lafayette, 127-year old French retailer, signed a partnership to officially introduce Galeries Lafayette as anchor retailer at D. Place in Guiyang, the capital of the high-potential southwestern province of Guizhou in the district of Nanming.

This is the third Galeries Lafayette store in China after Beijing’s and Shanghai’s, and it is the first store in Southwest China region. The store covers an area of 11,500 square meters on two floors and is expected to open in the spring of 2022.

Philippe Pedone, International Development Senior Vice-President of Galeries Lafayette, commented on the partnership: “A year after opening the Shanghai Galeries Lafayette store, and despite the upheaval caused by the health situation in recent months, we are delighted to be able to continue expanding the Galeries Lafayette brand in China by partnering with HLC Group. Galeries Lafayette’s establishment at D. Place is a new step to bring the “french touch” and uniqueness of Galeries Lafayette retail’s proposal within the city’s first high-end destination shopping mall of Guiyang and Guizhou Province.
