Swiss luxury watchmaker Breitling, famous for its chronographs and its storied association to world aviation, has just opened a new boutique at Hong Kong International Airport.

The new store has been granted with the brand’s modern and chic industrial loft concept, which is inspired by mid-twentieth-century interior design. To celebrate the opening of the new store, Breitling’s new Aviator 8 Mosquito, which takes its inspiration from the legendary de Havilland Mosquito plane, is exclusively available in this store.

Since its opening, Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) has grown to become one of the busiest airports in the world. Breitling CEO Georges Kern points out the importance of the choice of this boutique’s location. He said: “We specially opened our new boutique at the HKIA as it not only represents Breitling’s century-old association with aviation but we also hope to share our brand history and DNA with travelers all over the world.”
To celebrate the opening of this boutique, the new Aviator 8 Mosquito watch, inspired by the legendary de Havilland Mosquito plane will be exclusively available in the HKIA store.
The new industrial loft-styled boutique is located at the departure level of Terminal 1 East Hall in HKIA. Opening a boutique in this international aviation hub will definitely mark a significant milestone to the development of Breitling as it kicks off travelers’ journey with a whole new shopping experience.

The design of the boutique is inspired by a mid-twentieth-century industrial building as a nod to a time when Breitling created some of the most admired tool watches ever made. modern-retro elements such as a neon Breitling logo from the 1940s and 1950s, yellow mesh wall with the stylized “B” vintage logo combined with bespoke furniture that highlights the brand’s universes of Air, Land and Sea. It offers its customers an inviting and inclusive ambience that allows visitors to explore the brand’s watches in a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere.

At the entrance, customers are welcomed by a creative and trendy entrance bar, which offers an attractive display of watches. The new boutique brings together all of Breitling’s collections, including the latest novelties and some exclusive limited editions including the impressive Superocean Heritage collection, the urban elegant Premier collection and the iconic Navitimer collection from the Breitling brand universes Sea, Land and Air. In addition, the boutique also features a VIP area for a more personal and discrete customer service.
