This summer, celebrity-loved patisserie, Vive Cake Boutique, welcomes its first collaboration with Mattel’s Barbie to celebrate the iconic doll’s 60th anniversary.
A luscious collection of cakes are designed to commemorate the exciting milestone, as well as an in-store afternoon tea experience unlike anything seen before.

“Since 1959, Barbie has been celebrating female role models and inspiring girls around the world; and we are thrilled to partner with Mattel for such a momentous celebration,” shares Ms Vivien Lau, Founder of Vive Cake Boutique.
“Barbie is an icon spanning multiple generations because of her message of empowerment, positivity, and simply brilliance; our team is honoured and excited to bring that to life through our sweet creations.”
From 4 June to 31 July, Vive Cake Boutique in Central will undergo a magical transformation to embody the Barbie theme. The boutique will incorporate signature elements of the celebration, from the pink and white candy stripe wallpaper, to the sprinkle of Barbie portraits and stickers around. Entry door will bear stunning floral designs, inviting diners to step into a world created by VIVE and Barbie.
A special Live Laugh Love Afternoon Tea Set will be introduced in stores for Barbie fans to revel in the ultimate VIVE x Barbie experience. An afternoon savoir-faire featuring VIVE’s flavour palette with a Barbie visual aesthetic, diners can enjoy Strawberry Panna Cotta, Raspberry Pavlova, Madeleine, Red Velvet Cupcakes, and Cream Cheese Macaron, and indulge in savoury delights such as Mini Wagyu Beef Burger; accompanied by VIVE’s specialty coffee with the Barbie logo dusted on the foam, or a selection of refined teas.
VIVE’s celebratory collection comprises of two Barbie-inspired creations, exemplifying the ethos of the much-loved icon, available for sale at both Central store and Harbour City pop-up store.
Vive Cake Boutique has proved a roaring success story since being launched with online orders in 2014 by founder and creative director Vivien Lau, who discovered her passion and talent by chance, making her first cake for a friend’s birthday.
Her signature ‘handmade with love’, cupcakes, macarons, cookies, confectioneries and tailor-made cakes for weddings and special occasions, are all made from scratch with less sugar and finest ingredients sourced from all over the world.
