Followed by its efforts in supporting Sotheby’s, the auction house, in their NFT Auctions preview in June, Samsung partnered with the first edition of Digital Art Fair Asia this October to exhibit new media artworks while delivering unparalleled NFT art curation experiences.
Samsung is leveraging on its cutting-edge Quantum Dot Technology to showcase Contemporary digital art and NFT crypto art.

The exhibition is the first large-scale ART TECH experiential exhibition centring on new media art, NFT Crypto Art and immersive art. From now until 22nd October, the exhibition is held in a 20,000-square-foot venue in Central with 5 art zones themed IMMERSIVE, PRESTIGE, PIONEER, NEW MEDIA and VIRTUAL REALITY, presenting high-tech art pieces from 40 international and local artists via both physical and virtual mediums.

Among the line-up is the NFT series “Machine Hallucinations – Space: Metaverse” auctioned by Sotheby’s, which leads the audience into a mysterious fantasy world in an infinity mirrored room featuring pictures of human exploration in space.
Glows in the Night, the latest video artwork by Chinese artist Yang Yongliang, is one of the highlights in the PRESTIGE ZONE. Displayed on two 75-inch Samsung Neo QLED, the art piece is an elegant scenic ink painting from the distance, while more enriched artistic details among the mountains and rocks can be found with a closer look.
Samsung The Frame is another display model used to showcase art pieces at the exhibition. The Frame is the chosen model by various famous artists to express the unique magic of their artworks, including Turkish multi-media artist Refik Anadol, digital art and movie special effect artist Victor Wong, surrealist photographer Tommy Fung (Instagram: SurrealHK), urban artist Szabotage, digital artist and illustrator Claudia Chanhoi and more. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, The Frame deliver finest picture as well as presenting authenticity & originality of artists.

The exhibition saw great success as tickets were swiftly sold out within the first few days. To further share the experience with the public, the exhibition is extended for 5 days, until 22nd October, for 4,200 additional visitors. Samsung will continue to promote the development of the digital art industry with its advanced and quality electronic display solutions.
