The creative vision of Hiroshi Fujiwara, and the manufacturing of rare quality fabrics of Loro Piana, give life to a new, genderless capsule collection characterised by clean lines and a minimalist design.

The heritage and the ultimate craftsmanship of the Italian brand find a perfect match with the Japanese minimalism. Two universes brought together in a new, disruptive way. Hiroshi Fujiwara perfectly embodies the fusion between Asiatic streetwear and the western high fashion.

This unexpected collaboration is another nod to Japanese culture following their flagship opening in Ginza last year.

“This is a second love letter to Japan, after the opening of our flagship store in Ginza last year,” said Fabio d’Angelantonio, Chief Executive Officer of Loro Piana in an interview with WWD.

From TasmanianSuper 150’S Wool to Baby Cashmere, the collection elevates from average street style with the cozy fabrics. All pieces live in Fujiwara’s signature colour palette of navy blue, black, charcoal, and white. The collaboration includes a bomber jacket, relaxed-fit suit pants, pull-over sweaters, and even a Harajuku-inspired oversized, shapeless, A-line dress. The Tsunaghi pattern, a Japanese symbol of happiness, decorates pieces throughout the collection representing that people are stronger together.

Hiroshi Fujiwara has teamed up with a host of luxury labels and artists in the past, including Takashi Murakami, Stüssy, Moncler, Levi’s and Supreme and has a long-term partnership with Nike. This is his first collaboration under his own name and not Fragment’s. The Japanese creator has now dedicated his talent to a new collaboration, where contemporary Japanese design is finely combined with Italian excellence.
