For the first time in the company’s history, Toys“R”Us (Asia) Ltd is opening 10 brand new stores in China all on one day – 1 October 2017,  National Day.

“Not only this is a first in the history of Toys “R” Us but also our teams are hugely excited and proud to deliver this unique record here in China!” said  Roy Sammartino, Managing Director of Toys“R”Us China.

Playing on the theme of “10 times more fun on 1 October!”, Toys “R” Us (Asia) Ltd is showcasing its latest crop of interactive and digitally-savvy stores.

Hailing a ‘new era of retail’, customers can now experience the latest digital innovations such as interactive digital screens which are packed with stimulating content, bespoke mobile games enhanced by iBeacon technology and seamless online/offline activities streamed via new social media and vast data platforms.

And it’s not just the fun side of the business which is benefitting from this new digital dawn – labour in stores is more efficient with the use of digitally-controlled pricing labels, management of the Toys “R” Us loyalty scheme, which delights more than 4 million families, uses only electronic membership and e-couponing, while the latest introduction of the ‘Geoffrey Club’ is hosted via a multi-faceted micro-site packed with original and diverse content for kids to explore.

Sammartino reminded us that Toys “R” Us is about bringing joy and happiness to children and families. “Our goal is to create a fun and interactive experience for the whole family,” he added.

And this brand of fun is not only restricted to the main cities, as the Toys “R” Us expansion also covers many second and third tier cities to bring smiles to children right across China.
