TFWA World Exhibition conference and trade exhibition, a duty free and travel retail event, will open on 21 October in Cannes, France.
A new exhibition area will be made available this year in response to the high demand for additional space from existing exhibitors and newcomers. Philip Morris, the multi-national tobacco company, will partly occupy the new "Beach Village", a large outdoor structure that will be set-up on the Riviera Beach, next to the Palais des Festivals venue. This addition brings the total exhibition space to more than 20,000 square metres.
With three months to go, a total of 462 major suppliers to the industry have confirmed to exhibit at the event, including Hugo Boss, Barbara Rihl, Samsonite, Amore Pacific, By Terry, Elizabeth Arden, World of Patria, Castaing Foies Gras and Zippo. The final total of exhibitors last year was 457 exhibiting companies.
There were 457 exhibitors joining the event last year. Nearly 5,900 trade visitors from 2,737 companies flocked to the exhibition, the vast majority of whom were executives from major duty free and travel retail stakeholders including airports, airlines, ferries, cruise ships, border and downtown stores.
