Regent hotel plans HK return, to open 23 hotels in 3-5 years in Asia

The Regent hotel chain is keen to return to Hong Kong after an absence of nine years. Owner Steven Pan Si-liang, chairman of Taiwan-listed hotel operator Formosa International Hotels Corp, said Regent was looking for a partnership with developers for an integrated luxury hotel, residential and retail project in the city.

Pan hopes to increase the number of Regent hotels from 17 to as many as 40 over the next three to five years, the majority of them in Asia and mainland China.
