A USD3 billion terminal at the Indian capital New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport was unveiled on Saturday. Terminal 3, or T3, was built in 37 months and will open for international passengers on 14 July.
"This airport terminal establishes new global benchmarks," said Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. "It also highlights our resolve to bridge the infrastructure deficiencies in our country."
A similarly modern terminal is also planned for India’s financial capital, Mumbai.
