Air traffic in India continues upward trend

For the seventh month in a row, air traffic in India continued its upward growth trajectory, with domestic airlines carrying almost 500,000 more passengers in July compared with the same month last year.

The latest data collated by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) shows that during January-July this year, India’s airlines flew 17.6 million passengers as against 14.5m during the same period last year, recording a growth of 17 percent.
