I just finished reading yet another article about Toyota’s quality and reliability problems. A California motorist could not slow down or stop his Prius on Interstate 8 just outside San Diego. Eventually he reached speeds of 90 miles an hour and had to be "taught" how to slow down the vehicle by police officers while in motion. While your chances of being affected by a problematic Toyota are actually quite slim, this is pretty scary stuff regardless. The driver says he rode the brakes pretty hard and nothing happened. No brakes squealing or screeching tires, just the sound of Toyota’s brand equity slowly chipping away.
