Nano for two-wheeler offer employed to boost sales

When India’s festive season was at its peak and sales of the Nano was as low as 3,065 in October, Tata Motors dealers are feeling the pressure. To boost sales, they have launched an aggressive exchange offer asking owners of two-wheelers to exchange their vehicle for a Nano this festive season.

"Demand [for the Nano] is low and we believe this offer may attract customers," says a Tata Motors dealer in Mumbai. Interestingly, while dealers are calling for a two-wheeler exchange, the maximum footfalls for this type of offer are from car owners willing to exchange their cars for a Nano.
