Maruti Suzuki India Ltd – India’s largest carmaker by sales – on Wednesday said its recall of up to 106,000 A-Star small cars includes about 30,000 hatchbacks supplied to Nissan Motor Co Ltd. "The costs are to be shared between Maruti and the vendor," says Maruti’s Chairman RC Bhargava, going on to add, "Of the total cost [of the recall], Maruti will have to spend INR100 million [USD2.2 million] to INR120 million [USD2.6 million]."
