Fiat delays launch of 2 models

Fiat SpA has postponed the European launch of two cars for its namesake brand by at least a year, the latest example of the Italian automaker’s efforts to save money by slowing the development of new models as the region’s carmarket shrinks amid a worsening financial crisis.

Fiat has pushed back the timing of the introduction of new versions of two models – the Grande Punto and the Bravo – to 2014 at the earliest, people familiar with the Italian auto maker’s plans said.
