Kao plans USD32.5m investment in Kerala

Tokyo-based Kao Corporation – a major manufacturer of fast-moving consumer goods including soaps, detergents, and lifestyle and healthcare products – is planning a INR150-crore (INR1.5-billion, USD32.5-million) investment in Kerala.

The company has plans to set up manufacturing and marketing facilities in the Indian state, which holds immense investment potential in food processing, FMCG, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and nanotechnology.
