@Cosme operator, iStyle, has agreed a capital tie-up with cosmetics and lifestyle retailer House of Rose.
The two companies plan to work together on developing iStyle’s fledgling retail chain @Cosme in Japan as well as expand wholesaling overseas before opening stores in Taiwan and China.
iStyle will acquire 5.53% of House of Rose’s stock in the first stage but may increase its shareholding later.
As part of the deal, House of Rose will use iStyle’s trading arm as its export representative for exports in Asia, except for Taiwan where both firms will sell through House of Rose’s Taiwanese subsidiary.
Last December iStyle opened its fourth Hong Kong store exclusively selling Japanese brands such as Covermark, Homei and Bareminerals.
