Gucci collaborates with Hot Wheels for its 100th anniversary


To celebrate its 100th anniversary, fashion brand Gucci partnered with the multinational toy manufacturer Mattel Creations to immortalise the 1982 Gucci Cadillac Seville.

The limited-edition Hot Wheels x Gucci Cadillac Seville is the first high fashion collaboration for Hot Wheels and first official collectible from Gucci.

Gucci added Italian flair to the V8-powered sedan, and went all out with this 1:64 collectible. This limited-edition Hot Wheels is outfitted with an all-metal die-cast body and chassis as well as Real Riders tires. Every detail, including the GG pattern and gold piping on the seats, is authentic to the full scale “Seville by Gucci” and sure to make this collectible a showstopper.

The 1:64 scale vehicle is encased in an acrylic display with an authentic Gucci box and slipcover. It also features the brand’s signature green paper.

“This epic and unexpected collaboration between Gucci and Hot Wheels reinforces that toys are a canvas that reflects pop culture, fashion and design,” said Richard Dickson, President and Chief Operating Officer, Mattel.

“We are thrilled to celebrate and honour Gucci’s incredible 100th milestone with an artistic take on a limited-edition Hot Wheels, reinforcing the significance of Toys as Art,” continued Dickson.

The Gucci Cadillac Seville x Hot Wheels model is available on the Mattel Creations website and selected Gucci retailers globally on 18th October.
