When Rihanna developed her global makeup brand in partnership with Kendo Brands, a LVMH-owned beauty developer, in 2017, Fenty Beauty launched in an unprecedented 17 countries, with vision of inclusivity and global reach at its core.
With this latest expansion, Fenty Beauty will become even more accessible to consumers in Asia with retail distribution in Hong Kong and Macau at T Galleria by DFS, Sephora, Harvey Nichols, Beauty Bazaar, and Beauty Avenue.
In South Korea, Fenty Beauty will be opened at Lotte Duty Free, and Shinsegae Duty Free in Seoul, and Shilla Duty Free in Jeju.
With Rihanna’s mandate of inclusivity, Fenty Beauty offers a wide range of artistry-quality products designed with Rihanna’s vision of making sure people everywhere feel represented, with a focus on traditionally hard-to-match skin tones, formulas that work for all skin types, textures that love to be layered, and universal shades for all to enjoy.
The launch in Asia proliferates the brand’s mantra of “Beauty For All” – a notion of inclusivity that goes beyond just skin tone; one that is inclusive of values and beliefs. Fenty Beauty has shaken up the beauty world and beyond, starting new conversations
about beauty standards and expectations.
“I created Fenty Beauty because I wanted to make a beauty brand that is inclusive for people everywhere. I want everyone to feel beautiful, recognized and EMPOWERED, no matter their ethnicity, culture, skin tone or style,” Rihanna said.
Fenty Beauty redefines the rules with light-as-air formulas that love to be layered, in a global line-up of shades designed for all. The complexion-focused product assortment was developed to work together and provide everyone with Rihanna’s real-life method for killer radiance, the Fenty Face.
The Fenty Face is Rihanna’s secret to radiance – a differentiated approach to makeup artistry that has been tested backstage, on stage and in real life by Rihanna. The secret to radiance lies in the very first step of the Fenty Face, starting with a soft matte base for a smooth flawless canvas, followed with layered, strategically placed, highlight for a natural glowing complexion. Lastly, blot wherever, whenever for an instant refresh and on-the-go filter effect, then add the ultimate finishing touch with lip.
“With the Fenty Face, I wanted to share a look that everyone can wear every day, any occasion, any age. It is been my go-to method for years: foundation, concealer, contour, highlight, mattify, then complete with a lip and go! These steps are key to starting your makeup, no matter the look you are going for,” Rihanna said.
In addition to creating and designing every detail in her cosmetics collection, Rihanna has also personally appointed two prestigious makeup artists to represent Fenty Beauty around the world –Priscilla Ono and Hector Espinal.
