Luxury brands turn to airports and railway stations in China

More luxury brands are looking to Shanghai’s airports and railway stations as "pilot camps" for expansion.

Shanghai Airport Authority officials announced on Sunday that Hongqiao International Airport is updating its commercial space and has introduced brands like Shanghai Tang and Bally while Burberry and Salvatore Ferragamo will launch soon.

Similarly, the Shanghai Railway Bureau, in coordination with Yicheng Management Co Ltd, a firm specialising in Italian goods, introduced 26 Italian retail stores at Shanghai Hongqiao High-Speed Railway Station.
