Global women’s underwear brand Triumph International said on 27 May it is eyeing over INR450 crore (INR4.5 billion, USD96.80 million) in revenue from the Indian market in the next five years.
The company – that has a presence in 120 countries – plans to invest nearly 7 percent of its global turnover in India, Triumph India managing director Thorsten Allenstein said.
Triumph has launched only two of its brands – Triumph and Sloggi – in India so far. Allenstein said the company said regulatory issues are preventing it from further investing in the country, hence it has to depend on retail and franchisee businesses for selling its products on the subcontinent.
