Kids Around, a premium multi brand store is now all set to bring DKNY Kids to India, according to a report in the Economic Times.
Kids Around currently retails in countries including Paris, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, London, Canada, Australia, Portugal, and India.
Speaking on the growing kids and childrenswear market in India, Ayad Malik, Asia Export Manager for the brand said: “The market for children’s fashion and luxury is fast becoming one of the most profitable retail segments in India. Kids today are also becoming brand conscious and have their own preferences while the parents are ready to shell out money; probably it is the feeling that they couldn’t do it so they want it for their kids.”

In the past five years there have been a lot of changes in the childrenswear segment including preference for branded kids’ apparel.
“All children are extensions of their parents and want to wear what their father is wearing. International brands see value in bringing kids wear to India,” said Malik.
“The other important change that is taking place in this area is the emergence of kids as an independent buyer group. Influenced by mass media and peer pressure, today’s kids are more informed and self-conscious.”
The DKNY Kids products will be available at the Kids Around stores in India.
