Burberry opens Taiwan flagship store

Burberry celebrated on Thursday the opening of its first flagship store in Taiwan. Co-hosted by Christopher Bailey, the British luxury fashion house’s CEO, and Taiwanese actress-singer Jolin Tsai Yi-lin, the event was held in a custom-built circular space at XinYin Plaza opposite the Taipei 101 shopping centre, where the store is located.

Conceptualised by Bailey and featuring a distinctly British theme throughout, the new store, like its Beijing counterpart, boasts a giant external nine-by-five-metre LED screen to showcase multimedia content from its global headquarters in London.

The store is bigger than the Beijing flagship at Sparkle Roll, which opened last April.
