Cloudy Bay releases its 2019 Sauvignon Blanc in Hong Kong, an expressive yet characteristic result of an excellent vintage in Marlborough, New Zealand.

Around eighty parcels of wine were tasted by the Cloudy Bay blending committee, with only the very best parcels chosen for the blend.
Sauvignon Blanc 2019 hosted an exclusive tasting event as its first appearance in Hong Kong. Located at the rooftop of The Murray Hotel, appealed guests gathered at Popinjays to experience the exquisite pairing of Sauvignon Blanc 2019 and fresh ingredients from New Zealand pairing with food under the beautiful skyline of Hong Kong, the venue, spruced upwith plentiful of opulent green plants to recreate the natural landscapes of New Zealand, filled with lush, towering rainforests and harmonious grassy plains.
To bring to life the authentic taste of a New Zealand culinary experience, fresh New Zealand ingredients were also prepared by the chef to highlight the cuisine’s natural and original flavours, with guests all the while pairing this with the crispness of a glass of Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2019.
Yang Shen, Estate Director of Cloudy Bay said: “This vintage is likely to be remembered as one of the great Marlborough vintages, and we have created a Sauvignon Blanc that perfectly balances ripeness and freshness. The quality is a testament to our great vineyards, our hardworking teams and a season where everything just came together.”
Cloudy Bay are foundation members of Appellation Marlborough Wine, an organisation designed to protect the integrity, authenticity and brand value of wines produced in Marlborough.

Sauvignon made under the AMW banner must be 100% from Marlborough, be made from lower-yielding vines, and be made and bottled in New Zealand. Cloudy Bay’s 2019 Sauvignon will carry the AMW logo on its label.
