Alibaba tests social shopping app

Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba is testing a new fashion and social shopping app  targeting China’s Gen-Z.

With the slogan “created in China with attitude,” Taibang app aims to bring designer brands together while enabling users to discover their brand stories.  In addition, the app encourages users to communicate and share their fashion and life attitudes in an attempt to create a dynamic community. Users can also order the products they like on Taobao.

The app is available for download on Chinese app stores and is currently being tested by users on an invite-only basis.
