Christie’s appoints new Global Managing Director

Christie’s appointed Heidi Yang as Global Managing Director, Asian and World Art, effective from 11th January 2021.

Heidi is based in Hong Kong and joins the strong leadership team under the helm of Francis Belin, President, Christie’s Asia Pacific, bringing with her a wealth of experience and deep knowledge of business development and management. Heidi oversees and innovates the strategic initiatives of the Asian and World Art cluster worldwide, with a particular focus on Greater China. She also manages financial performance and work closely with senior leaders to drive the continued development of auction, private sales, and online business.

Heidi has over 25 years of experience in building and managing successful businesses in the finanial sector. Her responsibilities included the development and oversight of business organisation, recruiting and developing talent, as well as driving business growth, that span across corporate advisory, equity and debt offerings, and mergers and acquisitions in Asia.

Prior to joining Christie’s, Heidi had held the positions of Managing Director and Head of Corporate Advisory Group at Deutsche Bank, Managing Director and Head of Corporate Finance Group at UBS, and Director of Mergers and Acquisitions at Morgan Stanley. Heidi also holds a BA in Art from Columbia University, New York.
