Takasago names Nathalie Helloin Kamel global fine fragrance head

Takasago International Corp. has appointed Nathalie Helloin Kamel as head of global fine fragrance, working in the Paris-based role, effective immediately.

The Japanese fragrance and flavour firm taps Helloin Kamel from Shiseido, where she worked for the Japanese beauty brand for fifteen years in total. Helloin Kamel spent her first nine years as global marketing director for Shiseido’s fragrance division, which was formerly called Beauté Prestige International, before moving into her role as chief brand officer of the fragrance, which she helmed for five years.

In the last twelve months, she was promoted to general manager of fragrance.

Under Shiseido, Helloin Kamel was tasked with leading the perfume creation for global brands such as Issey Miyake, Narciso Rodriguez, Elie Saab, Alaïa, Zadig & Voltaire and Dolce & Gabbana.

She has also held positions at Parfums Hermès and L’Oréal, as global marketing director and operational marketing manager, respectively.

Helloin Kamel succeeds Xavier Renard, who replaced executive Luc Malfait, in the same post in September 2016. Renard left Takasago in early 2017 for Givaudan, where he is now head of fine fragrances in Europe.
