Takasago International Corp. has appointed Nathalie Helloin Kamel as head of global fine fragrance, working in the Paris-based role, effective immediately.
The Japanese fragrance and flavour firm taps Helloin Kamel from Shiseido, where she worked for the Japanese beauty brand for fifteen years in total. Helloin Kamel spent her first nine years as global marketing director for Shiseido’s fragrance division, which was formerly called Beauté Prestige International, before moving into her role as chief brand officer of the fragrance, which she helmed for five years.
In the last twelve months, she was promoted to general manager of fragrance.
She has also held positions at Parfums Hermès and L’Oréal, as global marketing director and operational marketing manager, respectively.
Helloin Kamel succeeds Xavier Renard, who replaced executive Luc Malfait, in the same post in September 2016. Renard left Takasago in early 2017 for Givaudan, where he is now head of fine fragrances in Europe.
Takasago International Corp. was founded in Japan in 1920. For more than 95 years, Takasago has developed flavours and fragrances for some of the world’s most successful food, beverage, fine fragrance, household and personal care products.
Takasago is a leading global company especially in the Asian region and has operations in 26 countries worldwide.
