Swarovski promotes Vivek Ramabhadran as VP-Asia South

Swarovski Professional has promoted Vivek Ramabhadran from his current role as managing director, Swarovski Professional India to vice president for the Asia-South region. Before spearheading the operations in India for over 3 years, Ramabhadran served for a year in the Swarovski Professional out of Dubai looking after Strategy and Business Development.

As vice president, Ramabhadran will spearhead the development and execution of the business strategies at Swarovski Professional Asia-South that includes Middle East, India & the subcontinent, Thailand, South East Asia (Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia) and Australia & New Zealand. He will report to Christian Doose, Executive President, Global Sales, Swarovski.

Delighted with his appointment, Ramabhadran said, “It’s a wonderfully exciting opportunity, and I am looking forward to help Swarovski Professional build a strong growth foundation in the Asia-South region. Key priorities will be to create strong value for the premium to luxury user base and trading partners across the region.”

Commenting on his appointment, Doose, said, “Under his leadership, the Indian business has demonstrated strong growth over the past 3 years, and the brand relevance has also been steadily developing in key premium and luxury user segments. Hence, we feel excited to have Vivek now take the Asia-South region to the next level. Asia South is an important growth contributor for the globe and India a leading center for fashion couture.”

Prior to Swarovski, Ramabhadran had spent over 4 years at McKinsey & Company with a focus on serving clients in the consumer goods space across a range of strategic and organisational topics, across Middle East, Europe and Africa regions. (RKS)
