Japanese apparel retailer Uniqlo unveiled its highly anticipated store in Mumbai on October 6, its debut in India’s largest city.

Uniqlo India chief executive officer Tomohiko Sei commented: “We are thrilled to be opening our much-awaited first Mumbai store. From seeing a strong demand on our e-commerce channel to now launching brick-and-mortar stores in Mumbai, we are delighted to bring our LifeWear to Mumbaikars, and look forward to supporting their daily lives.”
Uniqlo Phoenix Marketcity Kurla is the retailer’s 11th brick-and-mortar store in India and will showcase Uniqlo’s signature LifeWear collection.

Situated across two expansive floors, the 11,500-square-foot store also features the complete range of Uniqlo’s fall/winter merchandise, including its Ultra Light Down, Heat Tech, and Fleece collections, crafted from recycled materials. Additionally, the store boasts an assortment of Uniqlo’s premium fabric garments like cashmere, lambswool, and merino.

In an homage to its location, Uniqlo Phoenix Marketcity Kurla also showcases an artistic tribute to the spirit of Mumbai, crafted by local architect and illustrator Aashti Miller. Miller’s commissioned artwork adorns the escalator wall, capturing the essence of Mumbai’s iconic landmarks and cultural elements.
