Tourism, consumption spur Thai June revival

Thai tourism and domestic consumption rebounded in June from sharp declines in April and May, when the country was racked by political unrest, the Bank of Thailand said in its monthly briefing on Friday.

Tourist arrivals totalled 950,000 last month, registering flat growth year on year. Exports, excluding gold, reached a record high last month, totalling USD17 billion, up by 42 percent year on year.
