With a revamped Central World and the addition of Siam Paragon raising the city’s retail scene to new levels in recent years, high-end Bangkok shopping mall Siam Discovery has been overshadowed as of late.
Its floors, fairly quiet compared to teen-magnet neighbour Siam Center next door, are filled with pricey niche home decor and fashion shops, as well as popular favourites like Loft and restaurants Oishi Grand and Outback Steakhouse.
In an effort to put Siam Discovery back atop Bangkok’s shopping map, owner Siam Piwat Company — which also owns Siam Center — has announced a major renovation operation is in the works.
