Philippines: SM Supermarket raises the bar for retailers

In its 25th year, SM Supermarket, the leading supermarket chain in the Philippines, has raised the bar for the complete shopping experience as it lines up more customer-friendly programmes on a nationwide scale.

SM says it plans to improve shopping-reward mechanisms, introduce more value-for-money packages, and promote a greater number of environmental and social responsibility drives. The supermarket chain is also working to take customer service to the next level – from the time shoppers pick up a cart to when they’re queuing at checkout counters.

"We want our customers to feel good while they shop," says Mylene Mendoza, the company’s Operations Manager. "We are continuously evolving into something better, complementing the lifestyle of our customers and responding to their everyday shopping needs."
